We are a full care horse boarding and training barn servicing Charlottesville, Waynesboro, and surrounding areas. Conveniently located just 20 minutes outside of Charlottesville, Va., and the University of Virginia, we are easily accessible from Routes 81, 64, 250, and 29. Job Opportunity available: Looking for Full Time Employee (5days/week) with Horse Experience -
Full time Barn Help Wanted - must be able to work either Saturdays or Sundays:
Horse Care Experience a Must!!! References Required. Strong and
communicative person needed. All weather work, year round. Must be
able to lift 50 lbs. easily. Must provide own transportation and be
reliable. Non smoker preferred. Serious inquiries only, long term
position. $10/hr plus certain benefits.
Job includes: Feeding, turning out and bringing in horses, checking
horses for cuts or lameness (knowledge of horse first-aid a plus!),
cleaning and bedding stalls, driving small tractor with muck wagon,
emptying and cleaning buckets, trough cleaning and filling, moving
hay and feeding, sweeping, watering and dragging arena, general
cleaning and interaction with horses and boarders.

Wavertree Hall is an "all around" Equestrian Facility for all disciplines of horseback riding. We accommodate all ages of horses and riders from older adults to youth, including Grandparents, 4-H and Pony Clubbers, and College Students! We travel to Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, and Eventing Competitions in the Region, Foxhunt, and Trail ride as well!
