Blanketing:
Wavertree Hall will, during the winter months/inclement weather, put
on appropriate turnout blankets. Please see management with special
blanketing needs.
Special Feed:
Wavertree Hall supplies our own specially formulated low sugar grain
mix to our boarders (9.5% fat, 10% protein, 11.5% fiber) fed twice a
day. It is a natural high quality blend of crimped oats, crimped
corn, crimped barley, and pelleted vitamin/mineral supplements, as
well as soy oil and other key ingredients. Lunch fed as needed. There is no molasses, the
fat binder is soy oil. It is a high quality clean feed with no
preservatives. If
you would like a different feed given to your horse, you must supply
the feed and we will feed it to your specifications. Supplementing
your horse is no charge, boarders must supply supplements and we
will feed it to your specifications. Please see management regarding
any special feeding requirements.
Stall board includes a palatable high quality orchard grass hay
(tested for digestable energy) fed while the horse is inside. Horses
are turned out evenings year round, bundled up in winter. Experience
has shown the horses do better overall moving around: for joints &
socialization, as well as weight control and digestive & systemic
health. Horses are kept in only during very inclement weather or ice
for safety. We take pride in our individual attention to soundness
and injury-free horses.
Special Feeding Schedule:
Pasture boarded horses are provided unlimited pasture grass and
round bale hay when appropriate, fresh water, shelter, and salt &
mineral blocks. If the pasture horse is receiving supplements, or
needs special grain requirements (underweight, in work, pregnant,
etc…) the pasture horse is to be fed grain and supplement as
arranged through the management.
Outsider Truck in Riding Fee: The farm is closed for outside people coming in to school. Open schooling days are provided for outside riders during spring/summer & fall to come and enjoy the farm. See calendar page for details. Please call for special programs.
Outsider Instructors/Trainers: No Fee
All outside Instructors who come to instruct a student boarder at Wavertree
Hall must supply proof of Instructor Liability Insurance and sign a
damage/liability release, which claims their responsibility for
correcting any damage done to the property, jumps, or any parts of
the facilities during their teaching/coaching.
